And it continues...
Who: Mike, Tobi, Kitty and fem-Leo...
What: Stranded together, some recover while others pick up the task of exploring.
When: Day One, coming to an end. Earth time.

The first day on the station is nearly to an end, as the next day slowly dawns into biginning.

Two members are down, drifting into dream land and getting a well earned rest, and two exploring the unknown, channegling the dangers and doing what they could to keep the others, and each other safe.

There is yet much to explore and find out within the bellies of this place, and there were many secrets left to discover. Danger lurks nearly with every corner, and there is yet of groud to cover.

Although the chance of more surviviors coming into the picture is possible, there is one member possibily within the area, but had not made an apperance yet.

Diferent worlds, different realities, but in the same predicement.

Current Location: Space Station

Tobi had said that she'd sleep lightly, but she totally bombed and was out like a light for a few hours. She woke up with a groan, her body stiff from sleeping upright. She should have been used to such things, in the military she didn't always get to sleep in a bed, especially if she was sent on a task force.

Her eyes flutter open and she realizes with a start that she isn't in her apartment. Then the day's events all come back to her and her next thought flies to Mikey. “You okay?” she asks, looking over her shoulder.
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 03:49 pm (UTC)
With a slightly startled snort, Mike blinks and sleepily rubs his eyes, furrowing in confusion, "Uh.. I fell asleep?" he murmured, voice low and raspy. He emit a jaw-aching yawn before he slowly pushed up, sitting up on the cushioned seat, he sleepily rubbed his eyes again.

"Sorry, didn't mean to fall asleep." he murmured, and then slowly pushed off the couch, streatching and popping kinks. He was still a little tired, but the rest will have to do for now. He cant rest when the others are looking over their shoulders, unsure when something would jump at them.

He blinked and tugged at the mask lacing his neck, but made to attmpt to put it back on, instead, he looked around, confused. "Hey, where did Kitty go?" He asked, unknowingly he had missed fem-Leo's arrival.
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 04:42 pm (UTC)
Tobi stands and stretches, reaching her slender arms high over her head. "Mmnh! Oh, yeah, you zonked out just before Leo showed up. She and Kitty took the spare map and headed out to explore."

"I'm surprised you didn't wake up when Leo came through the elevator shaft. The elevator cable broke and it made quite a loud crash when it hit bottom. Guess I shouldn't feel bad for breaking the first one then," she chuckles and pulls the candy bar he rejected last night out of her pocket, "Breakfast?"
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 05:22 pm (UTC)
Drowzily, he accpeted the candybar with a small 'thank you' and a dopy grin. It was a bit lost to him Tobi had mentioned 'Leo' because he just had it in mind that whoever Kitty had left with, was another girl and not someone he should be wary of. Either that, or he was extra slow this morning, his mind just wasn't with it.

He sat down again and took a bite from the candy and chewed slowly, allowing the sweetness to tickle his tastebuds. Back home, he'd just gotten into the habit of favoring green sweetened tea over cereal. Raph had joked about it once, calling him a Leo-wannabe, but then a fight between Raph and Leo broke, and Mike wasn't too thrilled about it.

Raph had thankfully got the picture and didn't tease him about it. Well, occasionally he would, but not in a mean or cynical way, just a brotherly tease of sorts. Back then, Mike was accomidating to his new role as a 'Galaxy' warrior after winning the Nexus the forth time. Some how, he dreaded how things would change if he got to win a fith time as well.

He didn't mind the victory, but he sort of homes ther'd be a rule of sorts. Like, when a guy wins three times in a row, it would be nice if he'd step down and let someone else claim the glory. But he had to check the rulebook of the Nexus and saw that though it was actually optional, not many races 'appriciate' being 'pitied' and have the trophy handed to them if they won.

He realized that they find it very offensive, belittled and pitied by the winner, if not a dare to start a raging war. Mike didn't want that, that's why he didn't step down as of yet.

HE had to admit, though. During the last Nexus, he had come across Jahna, but she didn't join, she was just there to watch some of her people fight. Apperantly she and Don had some 'catchng up to do' so he left them alone. He never did get around poking his brother about it, too.

Note to self: After hugging dad, and then hug Donny. God knows how much I own the guy.

He rubbed his temple tiredly and then glanced at Tobi, "So, did I miss anything?" he smiled, wondering if anything interested took place while he was out liek a light.
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 06:14 pm (UTC)
She shrugs and smiles, "Not that I know of."

She turns and begins to gather up their supplies - the first aid kit, the bottle of vodka, and the maps... "From now on, I'm going to use the vodka, not you," she teases, "Lightweight." After she's got everything packed, she stands up and shoulders the bag.

"So far we know there's two others trapped aboard the space ship. And there might be one other. Kitty and Leo are exploring and I think they plan on trying to hack into the ship's system by ganking a camera. I don't know how that'd work, but Kitty seems like a smart girl. I'm sure she'll figure it out." She thinks for a moment and sighs softly, "Somehow I get the feelign that we might be here for a while... So maybe it's a good idea for us to try and find a safe part of the station to camp in. Y'know, a base of operations? Somewhere that we can rest in safely and gather supplies."
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 06:33 pm (UTC)
Mike pouted playfully at the 'lightweight' tease, but didn't say anything. He finished the candybar and then stuffed the wrapper in his pocket. He'll toss it in the trash when he finds one, but for now it might work as bait for the monster. If the scent is sweet enough, he could toss it and the monster will think it's food, giving them a chance or an opening to escape, maybe.

Now that he was a bit more sober, he rubbed the back of his neck, "So, you said something about a nother girl? Leo was it?" he paused, furrowed and then shook hsi head, "She wouldnt happen to be a turtle with blue equipment and a pair of swords, would she?" he asked, a little unsure.

He'd met many counterparts from many worlds, but no female counterparts. Could it be that there really was a world, where all four of them were girls instead of guys? Woo, must've be a doozy coming in contact with a female version of oneself.

Back home, Casey had once commented by saying that there wouldn't be much of diffrance with Raph, cause the guy's a pms'ing b!tch most of the time. The hothead wasn't thrilled, and Casey wasn't thrilled with the scuffle that resaulted later, either.
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 08:01 pm (UTC)
He looks much better and she’s glad. She can handle herself just fine, but she feels a bit safer with Mikey around. Besides, he’s her friend, and she isn’t keen on admitting it out loud to anyone, but she’s starting to develop a crush on him.

Tobi blinks in surprise. "Well, she wasn't wearing blue, but she did have joint pads just like you and she was carrying a pair of katana. How did you know??"

She recalls that Mikey has a brother named Leonardo, but meeting a female turtle with that name must be a coincidence, right?
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 08:19 pm (UTC)
He smiled lightly, "She's probably a counterpart from another mirror world." he murmured and rubbed the back of his neck.

He stood, streatched, and then slowly set himself on the floor, doing pushups. He had to make his senses wake up because hw was still feeling a little drained and tired, and hopefully a little workout will help him recover. After fifty pushups, he heaved a breath, took a breather and then tried to get into situp position, but then realizzed there wasn't anything he could use to keep his feet on the floor.

He glanced at Tobi, but then figured he didnt need to overwork himself so early. Instead, he worked on a few basic arobic moves, flexing his muscles. But then paused for a breath again, taking a breather again. "Phew! I smell like dust bunnies," he grimaced and glanced at the couch he slept on earlier. "Think they have showers around here?"
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 08:51 pm (UTC)
Tobi's mouth falls open slightly in bafflement when Mikey gets on the floor and starts doing push-ups. Her confused expression quickly turns into a lopsided grin as she watches him. This is even better then watching him flex his muscles and pry the elevator shaft doors open.

The size of males on Tobi’s planet varied greatly depending on species, and Mikey was about average height, if not an inch or two taller then average. But he was certainly built better then most turtle-guys! Tobi couldn’t help but watch in admiration and just a little bit of awe as Mikey pumped out 50 push-ups with relative ease. She sits on the couch and watches him cycle through some neat acrobatic tricks, thinking again how she’d like to learn to do something like that.

She laughs at his remark about smelling like dust bunnies. “Yeah, I bet I don’t smell like a fresh ocean breeze either.” She takes out the map and inspects it. “Looks like there’s a locker room with a shower on the other end of the bridge. If we can get up to the next level we can take the bridge across and clean up there.”
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 09:03 pm (UTC)
For a moment, Mike was aware of Tobi's eyes, but he mostly thought she was trying to think of something to say; only a moment later did he notice the tiny smile and felt his face warm up. He switched from the erobics to the simple and basic kata, keeping the nunchuck kata for later.

"What if there's another mutt thing there? If I recall, both times we bumped into one of those things, we were near a bridge." he crossed hsi arms over hsi chest, "Like guard dogs, preventing people from going where they shuldn't... makes me wonder what their owner feeds them." he paused, blinked and then shuddered, "Err, scratch that. I do not want to know what those things feed on."
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 09:23 pm (UTC)
"Well, the only other place to shower is back in our rooms then," she shrugs and paces while he does his kata. "According to the maps, we're on the lower of two rings that circle the main part of the station. The command center, power plant and the ship docking stations are all on the main part of the ship. If there's any chance of finding out why we're here and finding a way home it's on the main part of the ship, across the bridges."

She stops pacing and punches her fist into her palm determinedly. "We're going to have to deal with those monsters sooner or later, and frankly I'd rather it be sooner. I'm not very fond of running away, y'know?"

"They have weaknesses. We've already figured out that much. And they CAN be killed." She picks up her make-shift bo staff and rests it on her shoulder, "I'm not afraid of taking the fight to 'em, if I means finding a way home. Or at the very least taking a shower." She smirks.
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 09:43 pm (UTC)
"I admire the enthusiasem, Tobi. And I dont mind teaching those bad dogs a lesson." He said with a light smile, "But I dont think a rolled newspaper would so, and we don't know how much of those are even on this floor." he glanced at the ceiling, at the floor above them.

"From what I gathered from Kitty, there is one of those icky things on the upper floor. Probably waiting at the other side of the bridge." he paused, then glanced at the directory that adorned the wall, "What's so important about a tunnle that does nothing but connect to floor together? I just dont get it." he scratched his head, "If they wanted to prevent people from wondering off theri assighned sloor, woulwnt they at least be lurking around the stiarcase too?" He looked at her, confused.

Almost as if the lightbulb in his mind flicked on, he turned to Tobi with a strange look, "The bridge is a long tunnle, dark, and connects two important areas together. If anyone tries to get to the uppter floor through there, they'll have to fight those things in their own feild! Small, narrow and dark spaces." he realized.
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 09:54 pm (UTC)
"So what do we do?" she asks, tilting her head curiously, "Just sit here and twiddle our thumbs?" She shakes her head and frowns, "There HAS to be a way to bring those monsters down."

"If they don't like light, then we have to find some way to make that bridge really bright. Remember when that one attacked us in your room? It was using some kind of electrical interference to turn off the electricity in the room. I bet I could make something to block that interference. That'd make the lights in the tunnel come back on. At least then we'd be better able to fight them."

She walks over and examines the directory on the wall. “There’s a lab one floor up. I might be able to use the equipment up there… Unless you have a better idea?”
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 10:12 pm (UTC)
Mike smiled sheepishly, "Remember what I told you about my technical abilities? I put New York in a blackout for nearly a whole day. I'm a dum-dum with hightech stuff," he shrugged, "My brother, Don, banned me from coming anywhere near his workshop ever since." he chuckled wearily.

"I just think it might be a good idea if we wait for Kitty and the other lady. I wont want think wondering off thinking something happened to us." He murmured, gave the ward a look around, then then shrugged, "Or just leave them a messege and go explore?"
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 10:19 pm (UTC)
"Kitty said that she'd be able to find us again, and Leo looked like she was more then capable of handling anything that comes her way," Tobi smiles, "But leaving a note for them just in case sounds like a good idea. Plus our journals are linked remember? I can post a entry on my journal letting them know that we're okay."

She takes out a sheet of paper and starts writing a short note on it. Her handwriting is small and quick and crisp. 'Kitty'n'Leo -- Mikey and I are off to explore and hopefully find a way to deal with those monsters. We'll find you again later. Stay safe! <3 Tobi'. She shows Mikey the note and grins, "How's that?"

“So, what do you think we should do first? Find a place to clean up, or head up to the labs?”
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 10:52 pm (UTC)
Mike smiled warmly and watched Tobi write her little messege. One she was done and ask abotu their next destination, he paused for only a moment o complement the thought, "Well, if you don't mind a sweaty guy travling next to you, I think we can try figuring out where the main office is on this floor." he began.

"From the decor of this area, I figure the big boss's office ought to be around here somewhere, maybe if we're lucky we'll find something that might lead us to the reason this station is here." he explained, and then glanced at her jeans pockets, noticing the faint stain changing the color on her clothing, "And maybe get that handkerchif cleaned. Look like the blood is leaving a stain." he grumped.
tobi_ridley on March 3rd, 2007 11:28 pm (UTC)
She looks down and gasps, "My PANTS!! Arugh! These are my favorite pants!!" She flails and jumps around, as if her pants are on fire and not just slightly discolored. She reaches into her pocket and pulls out her handkerchief, shaking it angrily, “Darn you blood! Darn yooooooou!” With one last dissatisfied snort, she stuffs the handkerchief back in her pocket and grumps, folding her arms over her chest and pouting adorably.

“I don’t mind hanging out with a sweaty guy as long as you don’t mind walking around with a gal with dirty pants,” she pouts. “Let’s go find that office."
nexus_champion on March 3rd, 2007 11:52 pm (UTC)
Mike stiffled a snort at the 'girl in dirty pants' as his mind took a swan-dive into the gutter, but he quickly composed himself, cleared his throat and nodded. "Yeah, the office ought to have its own washroom, no washing machine, but maybe something useful to we could use to get cleaned up." he told quietly.

And with that, he checked the now dry gym bag for what they had. There were no towels, but hopefully once they find clean ones, they'll add them to the load. "If the bag gets too heavy, let me know, okay?" he told her, not wanting her to walk around lugging the extra weight when he's capable to do it.

"Now, we have either that left lobby towards the elevator lounge, probably where a beast is located, and we have the right lobby. Half way is the janitor room, it probably still reeks from my earlier search, but I dunno what's farther up ahead." he admitted. "Which way would you liek to go?"
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 04:13 pm (UTC)
She smiles and nods at his offer to carry the bag if it gets too heavy, “Okay, but I’m pretty sure I can handle it. We don’t have a whole lot of stuff in it right now.”

She looks back and forth when he lays out their options, looking down the hall to the elevator lobby, then the other way, and then back again. “Well…,” she murmurs after a moment, “I’m betting you’d rather deal with a stinky janitor closet then a blood-thirsty monster. So lets check the way to the right. Janitor’s closets are usually pretty close to the bathroom, y’know?”

She loops her arm around his and points dramatically in her chosen direction, “Onward to victory! Or just the bathroom!” She thinks about it a moment then giggles, “Either way is good.”
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 04:52 pm (UTC)
He nodded at her choice, "Actually I'd rather not fight the monster now, I'm still feeling a little groggy." he rubbed his head, before she wrapped her arm around his again. He inwardly gave a nervous smile and listened to her dramatic choice of words. With a chuckle, he didn't comment, and casually led her through the lobby.

It didn't take long for them to reach the closet, and Tobi clearly didn't like being so close to the smell, so he hurried the pace a little. Soon, just as she had predicted, there was a door before them. He grinned and stared at the 'Men' sign hung on the door, then glanced around, blinked, frowned and looked around some more. "Looks like there's no girls room on this floor." he rubbed the top of his head.

He thought of mentioning that in the lower floor where they had met, he had walked into a girls room, but then figured he'd better not and zip it, save himself some face. He looked at her, "Wanna go in, or keep looking for a girls room?" he arched a brow, a little unsure.
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 05:25 pm (UTC)
Tobi gags and plugs her nostrils as they pass the janitor's closet. The smell as dissipated a little, but it still pretty nasty. Fortunately Mikey picks up the pace as they walk by it.

She looks up at the door that Mikey stops in front of, eyeing the symbol on the door curiously. “Girls room?” she echoes curiously, then she makes a small noise of realization. “Oh! You mean this place has separate bathroom for boys and girls?”

She does some mental deductions and quickly figures out that where Mikey comes from, the sexes are much more segregated then where Tobi comes from. That would explain why Mikey flipped out when Tobi took off her pants, and why there’s a strange symbol on the door denoting that the room is for men only.

“A restroom is a restroom, right? Is there something in there that’s dangerous to girls or something?” she asks, quirking a brow.
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 05:37 pm (UTC)
"Ah, no. It's just- well, most of the time, guy's rooms aren't as clean as girl's rooms, ya know? I just figured you might wanna go someplace more clean, or something." he smiled sheepishly.

He unhooked his arm from hers, causiosly opening the door, checking if it was really a disaster area. To his relife, the place was clean enough to be used. It didn't reek of 'men stink' or years of neglection, but it did have a faint odor of sweat mixed with dirt.

He wrinkled his snout and snorted, but it wasn't really that bad. Actuall, he'd been in a junkyard run with Donny once, when they came back, Raph said that smelled horrible! And that's coming from a guy who's often sweaty after a long hard workout.

Mike stepped in, and glanced at the toilets. They all looked clean and useable, the sink had water, but there were no towles of any of those automatich hand dryiers. But oddly enough, the last two were showers. He blinked; weren't showers supposed to be in another spot? Or have a resroom of their own? Strange...

He cocked his head, a little confused, but then shrugged and turned to Tobi. "I think it's pretty safe to shower here, it looks clean enough." he paused, "I dont see any soap, though." he added.
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 07:18 pm (UTC)
She looks over his shoulder and shrugs, "Looks like a public bathroom to me."

She moves past him and heads for one of the sinks, taking her handkerchief out of her pocket. "We'll make do without soap I suppose, as long as the water is clean." She turns on the faucet and the water sputters for a moment, but is soon spilling out in a steady torrent. It's clear and smells clean enough. “Oh, good. It seems sanitary enough,” she smiles over her shoulder at him.

She remembers his reaction to her taking of her pants, and since she intends to take them off… “You probably want to, I donno… Turn around or something,” she suggests, “I don’t know why guys where you’re from don’t like looking at girls legs but… I’m going to take off my jeans to wash them. Just so you don’t flip out and blind yourself or something.” She grins teasingly, but she’s still a bit miffed at his behavior yesterday.
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 07:41 pm (UTC)
Mike blinked wide eyed at her remark, and he felt his face warm up, "Err- it's not that we- um.. don't like to look at legs," he began, wondering if it was really a good idea to explain it to her at all, "I mean- if you were wearing shorts, well- it'll be a different topic, but-..." He hesitated for a moment.

He was already turning around and pulling off his gear, not daring to meet her eyes. He took off his mask, unclasping the elbow joints he set them on the sink besides the one Tobi stood at, before working on unclasping the knee pads. Since he was already bare, he didn't have much to hide, but he felt- naked, nonetheless, he was flustered and hoped it didnt show. Quietly stripping out of his gear besides her, he took off the belt and set his gear and chucks on the counter.

He turned to the farthest shower room located at the corner, giving her his back, he continued, "um, remmeber the part where I said my dad was old fashioned?" he smiled timidly, eyeing the small space and the shower pipes hanging from above, "He kinda like- though we're guys, we should have more respect to woman than check them out as if they were 'new items' in a shop's display window, ya know?"

He stepped in and opened the faust and checked the water, "I'll just- shower while you clean up." he quickly added, and then turned slightly and closed the door. A moment passed as the water rained down on him, and slight steam clouded up the room. The hot water helped sooth his nerves and ease whatever reek had latched onto him.

He pressed his hands to the wall before him, eyes glazed over, droopy and relaxed. There was nothing more soothing than a nice hot shower after a long, exhasting day, and Mike just stood there, eyes closed for a moment, mesmerized with the feeling. Right about then, he wished there was any type of soap, any fruity fregrance would be most welcomed.

He remembered back home, April had gotten him and his brothers and pack of soap bars, saying it's 'athelite' friendly. Since they sweat like normal people, they'll need to keep the reek off, so she got them soap that would help them stay clean, and not smell all 'girly' as Raph once griped. He smiled lightly, thinking back on the events of the way and wondering if his family was doing alright...
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 08:07 pm (UTC)
"Shorts?" she echoed, lifting a confused brow. "What difference does that make?" She leans on the sink and listens, still not quite getting it as he describes the values his father instilled in him. "What's wrong with checking a girl out? I like looking at you... And you don't seem to have a problem with it. Do girls not like to be looked at where you're from?"

She watches him take off his gear, and her look is completely neutral. He's only taking off his joint pads. She doesn't leer at him, or grin like she did when she watched him exercise. Apparently nudity wasn’t the same concept where she came from.

"I'll wash your stuff for you while you're cleaning up," she smiles. As soon as his back is turned, she takes off her pants and tosses them into the sink. She scrubs everything, and thankfully the blood stains start to fade. It takes her a while, but a good rinsing makes her clothes and gear smell much better. She hangs them up over one of the stalls to dry then heads for the other shower.

She turns on the water and squeals as the water comes out cold. She hops around until it warms up and then she sighs happily. She rubs her hands over her head and face, scrubbing up as best as she can without soap.
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 08:42 pm (UTC)
"I really don't know how to explain it, I guess your world is much different than mine in those aspects." he told from over the shower's roaring waters. He grinned cheekily when he heard her squeal and chuckled, but didn't razz her about it. He relaxed again, allowing the waters to clean out the last bit of tension from his muscles.

"I don't really know how to say this, but it's not that we dont like to check other girls out, it's more the problem that there aren't any girls for us to check, girls that we might have a chance to be with, ya know?" he sighed softly, and raised his hands up rubbing his face and reinsing his neck and shoudlers, massaging them gently.

"All the girls back where I come from are mammals, and- well, when you nearly took off your pants earlier, I forgot we dont have what mammals do." he confessed, ignoring a flushed shiver, "A friend of our family happns to be a human woman, he name is April. Sometimes when we go into an adventure she wears cloths, and when they get too dirty and uncomfortable she needs to- ya know? Its a natural reaction, sorry."

He felt a bit flustered when she admitted liking to look at him, and he gave a slight shiver, a cool breeze blew near his ankles, but he ignored it. "I like you." he confessed, eyeing the blue-hued tiles in front of him, "But- I just- well..." and he stopped, having no idea how to word it or explain.
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 09:05 pm (UTC)
Tobi nods in understanding when he makes his explanation. She rinses her plastron and then turns and lets the water beat into the small cracks and crevices of the scutes on her shell. "I kinda figured that. You don't act much like any guy I've ever met... I couldn't really place 'how' you acted different until now. You act a LOT like a human," she chuckles and shrugs her shoulders, "I should be totally disgusted by that, but for some reason I think it just makes you more interesting."

"... Though it's still weird to think you have human FRIENDS."

She pauses when he hesitantly admits that he likes her. She sighs in disappointment though, when he can’t explain what’s stopping him from acting on the feeling. “It’s okay Mikey… I understand.” Her voice echoes sadly in the shower. She really doesn’t understand, but she doesn’t want Mikey to beat himself up over it.

She turns off the water and shakes herself, splattering off a bit of the water. “It’ll take a little while for us to air dry. Plus our clothes need to dry. Should we just wait in here?”
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 09:30 pm (UTC)
He sighed softly and nodded, then realized she could'nt see it. "Yeah, let it set in for a while." he murmured. He reached for the tap and slowly lowered the heat and let the luekwarm rain sooth his heating body. He didn't let it cool for too long.

He thought back about how she said he was more like a human, a sad smile crossed his lips. There was a time where being called more human would have had him flipping in joy, but in a suituation like this, it almost felt as if the waters were no longer soothing. They were a distraction, but they weren't helping.

He pressed his forehead to the cool tiles and then raised the heat, hissing when the near-scalding waters rained down on his shell. But the heater syetm probably neared it's end, for the water started to cool down on it's own. At that point, he blinked and wondered if it was a shared heater, or if each shower had it's own heater. He sure didn't want to use up all the hot water on Tobi.

While their clothes needed to dry up, he was growing more and more reluctant to step out of the shower. His mind was convinced that stepping out of the shower would mean facing Tobi, without her clothes, and he was very- unsure if it would be a good idea to do that. He decided to stay in the shower room, he just didnt have the courage to face her...
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 09:44 pm (UTC)
She walks out of the shower room, flicking water off her arms with her hands. "What I wouldn't do for a good swim," she sighs, "But at least I don't smell like dust anymore."

She walks out to the sinks and sits on the counter and folds her legs under her. As she does so she catches her reflection in the mirror and turns herself so she's looking at it completely. "I suppose it's just as well that he doesn't like looking at me," she murmurs to herself. She's confident that he can't hear her over the rush of water in his shower, "I'm not all that attractive anyway."

She pouts at herself, but her melancholy is short lived. She amuses herself by breathing on the mirror and drawing pictures in the steam.
nexus_champion on March 4th, 2007 10:02 pm (UTC)
Mike's acute hearing perks when he hears Taobi murmur, but due to the deafening roaring waters raining needles on his head and shoulders, her words are drowned. He sighed softly and turned the water off, and then just stood there, breathing through his nose, eyes closed, allowing the steam to clean his airpipe.

Gathering his courage, he pushed himself out of the shower room, wiping water off his face in hope to distract himself from looking at Tobi. His resistance is only for a moment when he blinks at the wall-length mirror, doodles scribbled across one side and streatching to the other. His eyes widened a bit when he realized the artwork was the seaturtle's doing.

He leaned against the sink to stare at a doodle and with a careful finger, adjusted a bit off the figure, fixing a part where the steam had massed up into water. The class was cool, and most of the steam had clung to the glass, dribbling down. He stared at his reflection, past the doodle, and he saw the waters almost made him look like he was crying.

He closed his eyes at that pitiful image, hung his head between his shoulders as his hands gripped the sink, he frowned. His emoptionas were in a mess and he just coudn't think stright. It was frustrating.

By the time he's out of the shower and inspecting her doodles, Tobi's all the way on the other end of the counter, sitting on it and puffing on the far end of the mirror. She look up, so focused on her doodles that she hadn’t noticed him get out of the shower. She yelps in surprise and slips off the counter, her shell hitting the floor with a loud crack. She doesn't make any noise, she just lays there and stairs at the ceiling, going a little cross-eyed. She hit the ground pretty hard.

He nearly jumped when there was a loud crash coming from the other side of the room. He jerked his head around to look at her, dazed and looking like she was hit by an airplane. He hurried toewards her and gently touched her skull, checking for any bleeding. When finding none, he gave a small relived sigh, and then clapped a hand to her cheek, "Tobi, you okay?"

He didn't want to move her, fearing there might be a fracture, and then when he gave her body a visual once over, he noticed the lack of slacks. He blinked once, twice, felt his cheeks warm up, 'Nice legs.' was his first thought.

He glanced at her face again, flashing two fingers in front of her. "Tobi, how many fingers do you see?"
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 10:48 pm (UTC)
"Arughphf..." she mutters when he hits her cheek gently. She blinks a few times then shakes her head and moans, "Oowwwwwowww...!”

“Nuf, two…” she grumps and grabs his hand, using it to pull herself up into a sitting position. “How many fingers indeed. Ya only got two!” She laughs, but then grunts in pain, her ribs hurting. She sits on the floor with her legs crossed under her and rubs her sides, still groaning. “Owieee! I haven’t cracked my shell like that in ages!”

She doesn’t look at him, too focused on the ache in her back and her sides. She doesn’t seem at all shy about being completely unclothed. It’s a wonder she even wears clothes! Most females would show off legs like she has – long and athletic. She even has cute little spots on her thighs that go almost all the way to her knees.

Oblivious to her nakedness, but a little relived with her not-so-in-pain reply, Mike puts a hand on the top side of her shell, before scooting a little behind her, checking the shell for any cracks. He finds a small fracture, but it's nothing seriouse, nothinbg a little shell-paste wouldn't fix.

Only problem? They don't have shell paste!

He sighs for the umptenth time and wipes some water off his face and brow, soothing a headache of irritation building up in his head, pressuring his poor brain. He wasn't used on dealing with everything on his own. Mostly of the time, Leo took leadership, Don planned things out, Raph would some times gripe or argue about the plan, and Mike just did what he was told.

He gently touched the small slit in her shell and his lips press in a thin line, "Your shell isn't as hard as I thought it was," he murmured, thinking if there could be anything they could use to seal the small fracture, "does it hurt?" he looked at her, concerned.
tobi_ridley on March 4th, 2007 11:07 pm (UTC)
She leans forward, letting him inspect her shell. Her shell isn't much like his at all. It isn't perfectly oval, it's more heart shaped, with a dip behind her neck so she can let her head fall all the way back. Her scutes are almost diamond shaped, and her whole shell doesn't feel like bone at all. It's more like a really hard rubber, allowing her a little flexibility. No wonder she bounces right back up when she falls most of the time.

"Of course it isn't hard," she giggles, then winces, "I'm a sea turtle. Our shells have to be able to bend a little when we swim, y'know? It hurts a little... mostly my spine, y'know?" She looks over her shoulder, though she can't see the back of her shell, "Am I cracked? D'ya mind putting some wax on it so it doesn't infect?"

She points to a small pile of objects that she had in her pockets. A few pencils, another eraser, a wallet, a cell phone, and a small compact and her pocket knife. "That compact there, it's scute wax. You know what that is, right?"
nexus_champion on March 5th, 2007 01:50 am (UTC)
Mike blinked, "You walk around carrying shell wax?" he piped, though a little confused, her ewarlier explanation did make sense. If her shell isn't all that hard, it's only natural she'd carry some in case of emergincies.

He pushes off the floor and towards where she had put her pants, picking the item it next to it and looking at it for a minute. Going back to her he knelt before her shell and uncapped the small bottle-like object, staring at it he saw that it looked like the ointment master Splinter would make for their scrapped wounds.

Scooping a bit with two fingers, he gently applied it into and onto the fracture, smoothing it so there wouldnt be any air bubbls inside. He'd never cracked his shell before, but after their battle with the Shredder a few years back, Leo's shoulder-shell wound made him cringe in pain every time he saw it. His bro must've been in so much pain, cause Mike remembered how Leo slightly looked irked whenever Don called him into the infirmary to get the wound checked and treated.

"There, better?" he recapped the small item and set in by her side, before checking the shell for any other cracks or fractures. "Everything else seems okay, does it hurt anywhere?" he said, before he gave the shell a good look, blinked and quirked a brow, "And- your shell is heart shaped?" blinky blink, he smirked, "That's- kinda cute." he commented.

Tobi blushes, her spots lighting up. "I know it's girly," she says defensively, "But even I like to keep my shell looking nice, okay??" She pouts, dropping her chin into her hands as he patches up her shell. Her shell isn't one or two solid colors like his. It's green and brown and molted with almond colored speckles, just like a regular sea turtle's from back on his planet. The wax itself is a brownish-green color, "deep drift green" it says on the package, and it blends well with the colors of her shell.

There are a couple of small lines on her shell, places where she's had cracks or slashes before and they've healed over long ago. She's even got a couple of dents, but you wouldn't notice unless you were taking a good look at her shell. All in all, the color and texture of her shell hides the marks pretty well. It's still obvious she's a bit self-conscious about them.

"It isn't cute," she grumps, her face flaming in embarrassment.

"Where I come from, having a nice shell is considered very attractive," she admits with a sigh, "Mine... Well... Mine isn't. It's got blemishes and bumps and it's all speckled everywhere. I can help any of it. The humans beat me when I was a slave, and ALL Ridley turtles are spotted, y'know?"

She sits up a little straighter and stretches, flexing her back as far as she can. Mikey can actually see the edges of her shell bend just a little. It's possible with a little training that she could be even more acrobatic then he is. “Yeah,” she says, smiling again, “It doesn’t sting as much. Thanks Mikey.”

He qruiked a brow, "I dunno about you, but even witht he spots and all it still looks cute; kinda pretty actually." he cocked his head aside, watching her streatch, but his eyes were fixed on the shell, "Like- the painting of life, or something of that vlaue." he murmured thoughtfully, smiling lightly.

"Well, your shell loosk better than mine. Mine's all blank and you had even spot the cracks and cracks easier. Yours hides them, they blend more into each other." he paused for a moment, a question came to mind about her and how she dealt with the humans in her world in her days of slavery, but he weren't sure if it was a good idea to open sealed wounds. He decided to forget it, Tobi didn't need tthe reminders.

He pushed to his feet and streatched a little as well, not wanting the cool tiles to make him drowzy after the nice hot shower. Their clothes were still soaking wet, so it'll be a while before they would be able to continue with their journy. "Think we ought to check that waching machine in the janitor room? It might have a dryer. I know if I stay here too long I'll just fall asleep again, especially after that hot shower." he murmured, rubbing an eye.

The idea of snuggling up into a blanket and curling in a nice cushy bed sounded very invisint, but his naughty mind added Tobi into the picture, and he found himself trying to avoid looking at her, just staring at the bathroom almost idely. The faint tint on his face might be a clue to how flustered he was with that idea.
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 01:58 pm (UTC)
"A mono-toned shell is actually considered really sexy," she replied offhandishly, "And anyway, nicks and marks on a guy's shell are okay. You're a guy, y'know? It makes you look... I dono, tough and manly and such. But... Thanks for saying such nice things. Every girl likes a compliment on her shell."

She unfolds her legs and straightens them out on the cool floor. "Even if it does have a dryer, our clothes will end up smelling like that awful room," she snorts then laughs, shaking her head, "My jeans will dry off in a little bit, and your stuff should be dry quicker then that."

She looks up at him curiously, noticing that he's trying very hard not to look at him. She frowns and stands up, her hands on her hips. "You really don't like the idea of being stuck in here with me when I'm not wearing any pants, do you?" she asks, pouting a bit. "Look at me, Michelangelo. No, seriously, look!" She spreads her arms slightly, hiding nothing. Her body is a little smaller then his, but shaped almost the exact same way. "I'm no different from you. You walk around without any clothes, and you don't have a problem with looking at yourself. So what is so different about me? And don't say it's because I'm a girl!"

She huffs adorably and turns her back to him, glaring at him over her shoulder while she crosses her arms over her plastron. "I know you arn't attracted to me, so that can't be the problem. And even if you were, you're acting very silly about it!" She humphs and glares at the floor, her temper causing her spots to flare crimson.
nexus_champion on March 5th, 2007 02:42 pm (UTC)
He almost gave up, the girl just didn't seen to understand the huge difference between their worlds. "Tobi, it's not that I'm not attracted; I am! I mean- I like you, a lot!" he rubbed the back of his neck and gave her small pitite a visual once over, feeling his heart speed up a little at the strange emotions sworling liek a tornado inside of him, "It's just- well..."

"Like I said, where I come from most girls are human, and I'm a mutant. To them, if I start looking at them and- show attraction, they'd- well... to us it's seeking a mate, but to them, it's- it's just... " He frowned and closed his eyes tight, spouting out the one word he hated the most, "beastility."

"Yes, they accept us, but as intelligent beings not as people. If we picked a female that we realliy liked and saught her out; most common reactions are rejection." he rubbed his face, ignoring the stinging in the back of his sockets, "Very few accept us as people, and- my brother, Don, he had a chance with a woman who really accepted him, but he stepped back because he knew it wouldn't work out."

He groaned, "I don't know if this is even relevent to what we're talking about, I really just don't know how to explain it to you any farther than that." a troubled and confused puppy face peered up at her, begging, "I want to explain it, but words just aren't coming easy right now." he palmed his face, trying to sooth away the discomfort in his muscles.
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 02:56 pm (UTC)
She looks over her shoulder at him, her expression softening when she sees just how hard it is for him to explain. It's obvious though that he doesn't mean to upset her or insult her.

She turns toward him and touches hsi shoulder gently, stepping behind him so he doesn't have to look at her. "It's okay, Mikey," she smiles reassuringly, "I don't understand, but then, we DO come from very different worlds. I probably wouldn't understand unless I actually lived in your world for a while. But it's obvious it makes you uncomfortable. I'm sorry I've done that too you."

She gives his shell a playful shove from behind and giggles, "Besides, if you like me, and I like you, then what's the big deal? I'm GLAD that I'm stuck on this station with you. You're the nicest guy I've met in a long, long time." She turns and grabs her pants, wringing them out and flapping the excess water off of them. "My pants'll be dry in no time, then I'll put them back on and we'll pretend like none of this happened, how's that sound?"
nexus_champion on March 5th, 2007 03:11 pm (UTC)
"Pretending never solved anything," he muttered and then shook his head. There was no point in arguing, if she wanted to drop the subject then it's fine by him, he was pretty confused at the moment and needed some time to think over what had heppened between them.

Eyes cast to the floor, he dazed away in thought. He thought back on how they first met, in that dinning lobby. He was heads over heels for her, unable to contain his excitment, but the more he thought about it the more confused he felt. He liked her, and she liked him, so why was he feeling so reluctant to seek out the relationship?

If they did happen to be from two seperate but mirror worlds, then maybe they could hop from one world to another without having to risk their lives, or if he and his family had to go on a little escape and didn't want to burden April and Casey by heading to the farmhouse. On another hand, if Tobi's world was too different, then it wouldn't be possible. If she somehow ended up stuck in his world, the least he could do was ask master Splinter to contact the Damiyo and check if he could locate her world with his War Staff. She could stay at the lair while the lord finds her world; but he really didn't feel comfortable- introducing her to his brothers.

If he was going to spend time with Tobi back home, he'd want to spend it just the two of them to show her around. It would be okay to let his father and brothers get to know her, as long as they dont show interest to snag her from him. Especially Raph! His brother had always had the sex appeal and he feared that though a jerk, Tobi might be smitten with him. Raph could easily win her cause he's less reluctant to flirt. Unlike Mike, if the hothead had a chance with a girl, he'd take it.

Mike hated to admit it, but he just liked her too much in such little time, and he cursed himself for jumping so far ahead into 'what if' and they hadn't even left the station yet! Had he become so jelouse over her already?
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 03:34 pm (UTC)
Tobi frowned at his muttering and sat down on the countertop again, being careful to keep her balance this time. She felt as though Mikey's discomfort was her fault - that she was being stupid for not understanding his view of the situation - and she was trying to help but it just kept blowing up in her face. She didn't want him to be upset. She wanted him to go back to that happy, charming guy she had first met in the lobby. Somehow she had caused this uncomfortable, brooding side of Mikey and she hated herself for it.

“I’m sorry,” she says with a quiet sigh. “Being from a world without female turtles and then suddenly being around me must be really confusing. And I suppose it doesn’t help that I keep expecting you to act like a guy from my world…”

She kicks her feet, like a little kid on a chair that was too big for her, and looks down at her spotted knees. “I really like you. You’re the funniest, sweetest, and defiantly the toughest guy I’ve ever met. If you were from my planet, you’d be the type of guy that’d never look twice at me – I’d never have a chance with you. But you’re nice to me, and sometimes the way you act, all protective and stuff, is the way that a guy from my world would come on to a girl.” She sighs deeply and shakes her head, “I know that trapped on a space station isn’t exactly the best environment to pick up a date but… I can’t help falling for you. I’d never get a chance at a guy like you back home.”
nexus_champion on March 5th, 2007 04:04 pm (UTC)
Mike felt his eyes widen as she explained how males in her home act, and he blinked as he somewhat realized a part of the reason why she didn't understand him. In her world, a guy like him isn't the norm and probably most girl fawn over or something... were there any Beta or Alpha ranks where she was, or was it all just dependent on each indivisual's personality?

He pushed off the floor and timidly advanced towards her, leaning on his shell on the counter while standing besides her, a little nervouse yet shy smile tugged on his lips, "Back home, my so called happy and funny side is what my brothers call the annoyingly perky side. They say it almost as if it's a bad thing," he rolled his eyes, "but if I ever get into a brooding mode, they all go into panic thinking I'm sick or something." he chuckled.

He glanced at her, "You're- nice, friendly smart and real pretty," he admitted daring to look at her face, but not lock eyes, "I do hope that when we get out of here, I could take you home to meet my family." he paused for a moment, "But- I guess first we have to survive this nightmare and get out of here alive first, huh?"
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 04:16 pm (UTC)
She laughs when he explains how his brothers react to his behavior. "My little brother says I'm annoyingly perky too," she giggles.

She smiles at the thought of meeting his family, but the idea of visiting his world scares her a little. She decides not to mention it though. She reaches up and grabs his bandana off of the stall. "Hey, your head-thingie is dry... So's mine," she smiles, taking them both down. She hands him his bandana, then ties on her handkerchief. "My pants should be dry enough to wear in a few minutes. They'll be a bit damp still, but they'll air-dry quick enough."

"I wouldn't call this place a nightmare," she smiles optimistically, "The monsters are a bit freaky, yeah, but... No one is threatening our lives right now, y'know? I think of it more as a mystery with a bit of suspense." She slides down off the counter and reaches up to test his joint pads and belt, "One way or another, sooner or later, we'll find a way to get out of here. I don't know about you, but I have no intention of dying anytime soon, especially not so far away from my family and friends." She smiles over her shoulder at him, confident that they can handle anything that comes their way. "And in the meantime, I get to enjoy your company."

When she offered the mask, he accepted it with a small smile and quietly tied it around his face. It felt good to have the mask on again, it gave him a sense of security and helped him think a little more clearly. He smiled as she commented about her pants needing more time to dry, so he offered a tiny smirk.

"Yeah, but when it's damp, it collects and sweeps dust a shell lot quicker." he sheugged, and then reached for his pads, clasping them on and making sure they were in place, not too tight and not too loose, before picking up the belt and putting it on. For a minute he recalled an item in his pouch, so he poked at the shell cell and picked it up, flicked it open and gave a small sigh.

The screen was dead, meaning there was no signal. The item was useless right now, and it wouldn't be of any use unless he found some sort of connection to his home world.

"As much as I actually like horror movies, living a Horror-suspence wasn't exactly my idea of an adventure." he commented on her earlier statement. "We may not be in danger right now, but we don't know how long it would last. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, or we're being granted a false sense of safety, but I'm more a little irked by the fact we wont be able to see those dog things in the dark."

He crossed his arms over his plastron. "My senses might be honed to detect such things, but in a sense I'm only human." he rubbed the back of his neck, "Somehow, I'm afried to think if they're capable of learning from their mistakes, they look smart enough; especially if that last one figured he or she could take out the lights!" he furrowed uncomfortably.
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 04:45 pm (UTC)
She takes her pants and shakes them out again, trying to speed up the drying process.

"So we rig up a signal jammer," she replied, shrugging at his last comment. She grins at him teasingly, "Seriously, babe, how'd you survive so long worrying about everything like you do?"

"When my pants are dry we can head up to the labs upstairs. There might be something up there that I can use to make a signal jammer that will prevent the beasts from turning out the lights. That way we can take the fight to them. I have a mind to teach them that they can’t keep THIS little sea turtle pinned down.”

Then her stomach growls loudly, reminding her that she hasn’t eaten since she shared half a candy bar with Kitty last night. “Er… N’maybe we can find something to eat too?” she suggests hopefully, casting a pleading look at Mikey.
nexus_champion on March 5th, 2007 04:52 pm (UTC)
"I try, but trust me I'm considered a slacker compaired to a worry wart brother of mine." He smirked.

He chuckled lightly when he stomach roared in protest, then nodded at the suggestion, "Yeah, but Kitty said there was one of those dog things up there, and since we're both hungry, I think getting somethin gin our stomachs would be better." he uncrossed his arms and smiled a little wider, though it was more a wry grin, "Figthing on an empty stomach wouldn't really be a smart choice."

"I think there are still some fruites left on the fifth floor, where we first met. Wanna go back down there and check if it's still avilable? It may not be much, but I dont think there are any dorms and fridges on this floor," he shrugged.
tobi_ridley on March 5th, 2007 05:01 pm (UTC)
She smiles and shrugs, shaking out her pants again, "I guess fruit will have to do. What I wouldn't give for fried oysters though." She licks her lips and her stomach growls in agreement.

She pulls on her pants and starts to load her things back into her pockets again. Then she picks up their bag of supplies, shouldering it. "Alrighty, ready to do when you are. Lead the way, Fearless Leader," she throws a mock salute, grinning brightly.
